What I'm About.
It's the micro/macro reshuffle of idea, image and identity to build out a work that is wholly, and yet paradoxically, original.
And so, the creative act is only achievable if an author is able to add their own personal spin to the proceedings. To stand on the shoulders of inspiration and raise the bar that little bit higher.
In his novel, the Hero with a Thousand Faces, Joseph Campbell posits that there is only one story: the monomyth – the Hero's Journey.
And yet within that mighty framework, almost anything is possible – if you have the guts to tell it.
